Use more of your solar
Store surplus generation for later use instead of exporting it immediately.
COMMERCIAL BATTERY STORAGE
Make more of your solar generation, assess cheaper charging periods and manage when your business draws electricity from the grid.
Arrange a commercial battery survey ↗DESIGNED AROUND YOUR ELECTRICITY USE
The right system starts with your electricity bills and demand profile. We assess how much energy you use, when you use it and whether storage can make a practical difference.
Commercial batteries can work alongside solar or form part of a grid-charged installation. We compare the options before recommending capacity, inverter power and controls.
Store surplus generation for later use instead of exporting it immediately.
Where tariffs make it worthwhile, charge at lower rates and discharge during more expensive periods.
Use a suitably rated battery and controls to reduce selected grid-demand peaks. Savings depend on your tariff and load profile.
CAPACITY AND POWER ARE DIFFERENT
Battery capacity indicates how much energy it can hold. Usable energy can be lower than the rated capacity and depends on reserve settings.
Inverter and battery power determine how much demand can be supported at once. A large battery does not automatically provide a high output.
We assess both against your actual demand, allowing for losses, operating limits and any backup reserve.
SIGENERGY SIGENSTACK
SigenStack uses approximately 12 kWh battery modules combined with compatible Sigenergy commercial hybrid inverters and battery controllers. Its modular format allows the system to be configured around the site’s requirements.
We assess the appropriate module quantity, inverter power and installation position, rather than treating a single battery module as a complete system.
Example product family • Module specification: 12.06 kWh rated energy • Final configuration confirmed during design
SOLAX TRENE
The SolaX TRENE-P100B215 combines 215 kWh of battery storage with a 100 kW power conversion system in an air-cooled commercial cabinet.
Its integrated energy-management system supports scheduled charging and discharging. We assess your demand profile, available space and grid connection to establish the appropriate operating strategy.
Example system • 215 kWh battery capacity / 100 kW rated output • Backup arrangements assessed separately
ILLUSTRATIVE BUSINESS SCENARIOS
Store midday surplus for late shifts, evening lighting or other demand after solar production falls. We first check whether a genuine surplus is available.
Assess stored energy for the busy service period and size inverter power around the peak to be reduced. Batteries do not replace a required supply upgrade.
Compare charging windows with daytime demand, electricity prices and battery losses to establish whether tariff shifting offers value.
These are examples of potential applications, not completed Big Green Electrical projects or guaranteed savings.
BACKUP IS A SEPARATE DESIGN DECISION
A battery installed for savings does not automatically keep a building running when the grid fails. Backup requires suitable equipment, changeover arrangements, earthing and protection.
We identify the essential circuits, running loads, motor starting requirements and required duration, then assess an appropriate backup solution. Some installations may need a dedicated essential-loads board or load shedding.
Discuss your backup requirements ↗FROM FIRST REVIEW TO HANDOVER
Electricity bills, half-hourly data where available, tariffs, solar generation and future plans.
Space, access, ventilation or cooling, fire-safety considerations, electrical capacity and proposed controls.
Relevant DNO applications, agreed working arrangements and any necessary shutdowns.
Testing, certification, monitoring, operating settings and maintenance guidance.
YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Not necessarily. A suitably designed system can charge from the grid. The financial case depends on your tariff, demand pattern, losses and battery costs.
Often, but compatibility and electrical design need checking. We assess AC-coupled and compatible DC-coupled options.
We model your actual usage and tariff rather than promise a fixed saving. The proposal should explain assumptions, usable capacity, losses and operating strategy.
Some systems are modular, but expansion depends on the inverter, controls, manufacturer limits, site space and grid agreement.
